day dreaming

I have been exceptionally spoiled by the beach recently. I am headed down to the Floribbean this weekend to visit a very dear friend of mine, just west of Tampa. Sun, sand, and the sounds of the ocean await me in just a mere 36 hours. But who's counting?...

All these trips to the beach and the glorious 80-degree weather we've been blessed with lately have only revved up my summer-seasonal day dreaming. You know, the normal lack of motivation at work, the yearn for an escape to a desolate island miles away from all responsibilities. I find myself surfing the web for beach houses for sale and think of what my life would be like if my husband and I just up and packed our belongings and began our lives along the sunny shores of North Carolina, the Caribbean Islands, California, or somewhere in that postcard image in my mind. We could open up a little business along the beach, catering to the local tourist industry. My husband could build a little beach hut along the ocean shore for us to live while our 3 adorable children and Sierra frolic in the sand. And our only stress would be getting to happy hour on time everyday...
