not your momma's potatoes
As promised, here is one of the many delicious recipes shared at my shin-dig this past Saturday. It is a dish that becomes an immediate favorite by anyone who has a taste. Named White Trash Potatoes for its non-traditional take on the traditional potato salad, this side is served hot and topped with corn flakes - it comes to you highly recommended!
White Trash Potatoes
One 2 lb. bag of frozen cubed potatoes (usually found near frozen french fries)
One pint sour cream
One can cream of chicken soup
8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
One cup of grated onion
Corn flakes
1 and 1/2 sticks of butter
Mix sour cream, soup, cheese and onion into thawed potatoes. While mixing, set oven to 375 degrees and melt one stick of butter in bottom of dish to be used. Once melted, pour mixed ingredients into dish and bake at 375 for one hour. After one hour mix 1/2 stick of butter and 2 cups of corn flakes on the stove. Once all melted together, spread corn flakes on top of potatoes
and bake again for 15 minutes. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm gooood!
