wine lover connoisseur

I love wine. My favorites include white wines...pinots and chardonnays. But I cannot claim to be a wine connoisseur in any definition of the word - I am simply a wine lover. There is a big difference. I know nothing about the production of wines nor the process it takes to get a grape into a liquid form and then, ultimately, in my wine glass. I just simply like the end result: the wine in my glass.

With that being said, I like sampling different wines...specifically, wines that fall within my $7.99/bottle and under budget - it adds to the challenge of finding good wine in this price range (well...that and the fact that my budget only allows me to purchase $7.99/bottle wines). A few of my latest excursions include the following:

Fish Eye - Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio - The Pinot is currently my favorite; it's not as sweet as the Chardonnay.

Little Penguin Chardonnay - Delightful. And the little penguin on the bottle is just so cute!

Yellow Tail - Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio - This is usually my staple wine, but have since ventured to try others...

Luna Di Luna Pinot Grigio/Chardonnay Combination - Absolutley delicious. This wine doesn't fall into my $7.99/bottle budget unless it is on sale...but it is always worth every penny.

I've heard the same thing from other red wine lovers. I actually have a bottle at my house that I haven't opened yet that I may have to give a shot. I just have a thing with drinking warm liquids...i'm a "chilled" kinda girl. Which is why I have always favored whites...
