takin' it to the city
I don't have much time to write today...but I have a problem with ignoring my blog for more than a week, so here goes...
I was given the opportunity to attend an amazing writing seminar this week held in Brooklyn, NY. I've always been incredibly intimidated by The Big Apple but jumped at the opportunity to explore new surroundings, at the same time getting a great education on "Persuasive Online Copywriting" - a workshop hosted by an amazing team of website consultants, Future Now. As a side note, if you or your company are at all interested in Online Marketing and/or optimizing your website, this is a great company to look into. The seminar was extremely beneficial and (as dorky as it sounds) I am truly excited to apply what I learned to my job.
I took advantage of being in the fabulous city of New York and hit the town on Tuesday night to the parts of downtown Manhattan. I sampled authentic NYC grub at a cool restaurant called The Red Lion and then moseyed on over to a very hip jazz club called The Blue Note to witness the musical talents of the Kenny Garrett Quartet. I felt very "New York"! (god, am I tourist or what?!) All in all, it was a great little getaway from the office at the expense of my company...it doesn't get better than that!
