a great nightstand addition
My parents gave me the book Dream: A Tale of Wonder, Wisdom & Wishes by Susan V. Bosak as a Christmas present and I just got around to reading it cover-to-cover last night. It is written as a children's book, but is an inspiration to all ages - and now one of my favorite books.

It is nice to be reminded that, although I often feel that the personal goals I set for myself are way out of reach, it is healthy to have (what seem to be, at the time) unattainable aspirations. Aspirations that may not be so unattainable after all.

My dream of owning my own business, becoming a successful well-rounded person with family, career, and friendships can become wearing. To the point where I sometimes feel like a naive little girl to want it "all". Is that kind of success truly realistic? A concept I've mentioned in previous posts...Am I setting myself up for disappointment?
But, as corny as I know it sounds, this book reminds me that dreams are healthy. They will change as we get older but they help to keep our spirit alive.
