creativity bursting at the seams
I began my second course towards my Web Graphics Design Certificate last night, Photoshop Introduction. The class is off to a great start and I am really excited at the thought of actually getting something out of it that I can use in my daily job...which includes screwing around with creating cool banners, adjusting pictures, and other daily activities that I should not be partaking in while at work. But that's the fun part, right?
I have always been creative in one way or another, but have never excelled in one specific artistic realm. When I was in middle school, I begged my mom to sign me up for art school classes because I loved to draw and paint. It was fun, but I soon realized that I was overshadowed by the true talents in the class and quickly lost interest. Since then, I have always dabbled in writing (hence the blog) and found a passion in web design, online marketing, and general e-commerce. My career path has vaguely followed these passions and has motivated me to further my education in web design through these graphic design courses.
Ultimately, I want this education to grow into a career I truly enjoy. A career that embellishes my creativity and talents that I know I have...but have yet to be fully developed. As many people do, I feel like an untapped resource just dying to be given a chance. Maybe these courses will spotlight those talents and bring me the career opportunities I dream of.
I'm tired of being a Little Indian...I want to be a Chief.

Hi Michelle! I just randomly came across your blog and was shocked to see your brother's picture when I suddenly realized we know each other from touch football at Fairmount park (friend of Bethie's and a huge fan of all Guzzos)! Glad I stumbled upon you!
