motivation

Here is my latest purchase from Vicki's...and my latest means to instigate the motivation to lose those 5 extra unwanted pounds. If the suit only came with her long torso, skinny arms, sculpted legs...

With my vacation just six weeks away and this fabulous bikini in my drawer just begging to be worn, I really need to focus and turn to some serious complete-body workouts. I tend to shy away from anything but cardio, yet I know in order to battle my 'trouble spots' I really need include weight-lifting in my workouts - even if that means daily sets of push-ups and sit-ups.

And my monthly subscription to Fitness Magazine not only provides me with simple workouts to try but also a seemingly never-ending catalog of sculpted women to make me feel that much more insecure about my own body... Catch me in my peak-PMS stage and I am bound to feel 10 pounds fatter by the time I finish reading those magazines than when I started. OK, so maybe I am in my peak-PMS stage as I am actually writing this...but all the more reason to get this rant off my chest.

So, in the spirit of burning off some of those extra calories and molding your own body into a vision of fabulous-ness, here are some workouts I am going to try for myself:

Pilates for a Beach-Ready Body
Flat-Abs Handbook
Hips, Waist, and Thighs Workout

ooohhhh i love that! I can't wear bottoms that are low-rise like that. someday maybe, but not anytime soon.

anyway.. you go girl.. come on over and I will put you through my new weight workout!
