the rambler
I am notorious for leaving long voicemails.
I inherited this pesky, yet endearing (although, I'm quite certain some would disagree), trait from my mother - The Queen of Ten Minute Voicemails. What anyone else might be able to sum up in about 20 to 30 seconds, my mother banters on with cute (yet, more times than not, unrelated) details to seemingly reinforce the very point of her message.
I can proudly say that I've learned this quirk from the best.
A recipient of one of my infamous voicemails might even forget that they are listening to my recording and begin participating, as if they were a partaker in my never-ending conversation.
I like to be sure to include all necessary details. Where I am...where I will be...at what time...what I am wearing and how much money I plan on bringing (essential info for a night out)...how long it will take me to get there...a number to reach me in case I cannot be reached at assumed number.
I leave no question unanswered. No subject unscathed.
