In a foolish attempt to rid myself of an ugly farmers tan that I obtained while working in my yard all weekend, I made a visit to Hollywood Tans and their new Leg Tanning Machine. What seemed to be an amazing new concept, only resulted in tomato-red thighs and calves. Ouch. The simplicity of walking up and down steps has now become a feat in itself. Bend one knee...ooo...and the other....ehh...and again...sigh... So not only do I look like a total fool in my attempt to master stairs, I also have vastly unattractive blotchy legs. Good stuff.

In other news, my weekend was filled with relaxation, beautiful weather that allowed me to work in my sprouting flower gardens, and a delicious dinner out with my in-laws Saturday evening. This month has a few days off in store for me - including a luxurious 4-day weekend awaiting me just 3 days from now. This will be my first 'planned' time off in about 3 months and is much needed. Friday holds a wedding for a great couple and great friends of my husband and I - so a day of proper primping is an order, of course. Weddings are always a blast, so that should set a great tone for the rest of my long weekend. Another couple from my group of friends set to be hitched and another one shortly on the way. We're droppin' like flies, I tell ya...
