mrs. domesticity
I love being married, owning a home, and playing up the role of domesticity.
I love working around my house and especially in my gardens, perfecting my green thumb. Planting flowers, spreading mulch, pulling weeds, mowing the lawn...and what is more fun than weedwacking? Love it. My dream backyard would resemble something from the pages of Pottery Barn, packed with our family and friends, playing horseshoes, drinking some brewskies, all the while my husband grillin' up some burgers and dogs on our stainless steel George Foreman.
Hosting parties is another favorite pastime. I take pride in the details of hosting great parties - from good food to good drinks, and, most importantly, good music. I strive for my parties to be the best...to be talked about...to be demanded. "When is Michelle having another one of her fabulous parties?!" my friends would scream. Ok, maybe I'm taking that a little far...but a girl can dream, right?
And, most of all, I love playing my role as a wife. Taking care of someone other than myself is greatly fulfilling...and the added responsibility I have to my cute little furball to mother, look after, and raise in my training to be a mom one day. The late nights, messy clean-up, and patience-testing is hopefully all in good preparation for what is yet to come.
